Georgia women's divers kick off first day of 2025 Swim and Dive SEC Championships

On Monday, two Georgia women's divers — junior Hannah Stumpf and freshman Ivy Buckley — opened the SEC Swim and Dive Championships on the 1-meter. Stumpf tied for 18th and Buckley placed 29th in her SEC Championship debut.

Stumpf tied for 18th on the first day of competition, just shy of the consolation final. Her highest score came on her third dive with a score of 46.80, earning a total score of 252.95.

In her SEC Championships debut, Buckley finished 28th with a total score of 239.40. Her top dive scored a 45.50.

Camyla Monory from the University of Florida won with a score of 350.45 in the women’s one-meter. From South Carolina, Sophie Verzyl finished second with a 328.40 andTexas’ Hailey Hernandez took third place with a 316.20.

The Bulldogs currently sit in last place with a score of 6.5.

Competition resumes on Tuesday with the men's three meter diving, 200y medley relay and the 800y freestyle relay.

Competition will last until Feb. 22, at the Bauerle Pool at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens.
